Public service has been my calling in life, and I am honored to serve as your sheriff. I understand how difficult it can be when you volunteer, but I have also learned that it can lead to fulfilling rewards. By joining the citizen’s academy, you will be able to experience your Sheriff’s Office from the inside out. You will have the opportunity to meet our staff and gain knowledge of personnel issues, budgets, available equipment, and challenges created by the diversity of calls for service throughout Berkeley County.
It is our mission to make a priority of protecting the lives and property of those who reside in or visit Berkeley County. To achieve this mission, we will use every available resource, act with compassion towards all innocent victims, and fairly pursue those who are accused.
