Major Hickman has over 21 years of service, in law enforcement.

He is currently assigned as the Operations Major over the Patrol Division and Judicial Services Division.

Major Hickman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Criminal Justice, from Strayer University, North Charleston, SC, where he graduated with Honors.

In March 2016, Major Hickman completed the Federal Bureau of Investigation, (FBI) Command College.

Major Hickman formerly served as the Assistant Chief of Police, at the St. Stephen Police Department.

Major Hickman is married to Cheretha Kinlaw-Hickman. Major Hickman is a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church, Goose Creek, SC.
