They work with victims in the areas of crisis intervention, one-on-one support and referrals through the State Office of Victim Assistance. The unit has partnered with Trident Technical College to sponsor a volunteer internship program. This intern earns college credit in the field of human services by volunteering alongside the victim advocates. The victim advocates will continue to ensure crime victims are informed and that their voices shall be heard in the criminal justice process.
